It was a week ago that a Leavenworth man went missing. David Gimlett, 33, was said to have left the 3200 block of Hansel Lane in Peshastin on foot during the evening of January 23. He had not been heard from since.
A Chelan County Volunteer Search and Rescue member located the man's body in Peshastin Creek on Thursday. The Chelan County Coroner will determine how Gimlett died.
Sheriff’s Emergency Management Supervisor, Sgt. Jason Reinfeld says Gimlett’s cell phone was inactive since last Friday. Deputies had deployed the Sheriff’s helicopter and drones, plus a ground search was conducted leading to yesterday’s discovery.
