A transition in leadership at the Lake Chelan Community Center has been announced following the resignation of Executive Director Maribel Cruz.

Seven Acres Foundation Board President Brooke Isaak has been named interim director as a search for a successor to Cruz begins. The Seven Acres Foundation oversees operations at the center.

“Maribel’s vision, dedication, and steady leadership have helped shape The Community Center into the thriving community asset,” said Isaak.

Cruz shared, “Serving as Executive Director of the Lake Chelan Community Center has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional career.”

As the Lake Chelan Community Center continues to grow and evolve, the Foundation board reports it's refined the Executive Director position to reflect the needs of a mature, operating community center serving more than 44,000 square feet of community, commercial, and event space.

“The Community Center has entered an exciting new phase,” Isaak added. “We remain focused on completing our remaining construction projects while continuing to expand programs and strengthen partnerships”
