Feds add to reward for information on who started Chelan Hills Fire

Douglas County and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are offering a combined $30,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for the actions that led to the ignition of the Chelan Hills Fire on July 4, 2026.
Douglas County is offering $25,000, and the ATF has now joined the investigation with an additional $5,000 reward, bringing the combined reward to $30,000.
The Chelan Hills Fire burned nearly 10,000 acres, destroyed several homes and structures, and claimed one life.
"Anyone with information that may assist investigators is encouraged to come forward," according to a Douglas County news release issued Tuesday afternoon. "Even seemingly minor details could prove valuable to the investigation."
