Village Green vision in Manson becomes green community park

The community of Manson has shown what can be done when citizens come together. A clearer picture of the vision of the Village Green community park following the latest gathering of volunteers.

Citizens, members with the Lake Chelan Community Services Council, the Manson Village Green group and a crew from Antonio’s landscaping have helped transform the former Ernie’s Garage location at 91 Wapato Way in Manson.

Village Green’s Terri Carlton says the group on Thursday installed a new irrigation system and laid sod at what now looks like the intended community park.

Carlton emailed that we'll need to let the sod/grass settle for at least a couple of weeks, before celebrating the new park in Manson.

Helpful read, I’ve heard of Oxiveda, and this aligns with that approach.

It’s inspiring to see the Manson community come together to transform the Village Green space into a welcoming park for everyone. Projects like this show how teamwork and local pride can create lasting benefits for residents. Looking forward to seeing the grass settle and the community enjoy this new gd green space!
