A second arrest on Wednesday in the shooting of a man on a downtown Chelan street on the night of Jan 23.

Chelan County Sheriff’s detectives reported Thursday the arrest of a 17-year old boy, who along with 18-year old Hector Farias of Manson, are accused of participation in the shooting a 22-year old man. He was struck by a single gunshot to the upper back and has since recovered from the injury.

Chelan County Sheriff’s Chief Ryan Moody reported yesterday afternoon that detectives obtained probable cause to believe the teenager was directly involved in the shooting.

Chief Moody says with others possibly involved in the incident, the investigation is ongoing. He adds there is no reason to believe there are any threats to the public.

Anyone with information on the shooting incident is asked to call the Chelan County Sheriff's tip line at 509-667-6845.
