Team USA bests European team at Continental Surf Cup in Chelan

Team USA secured their first ever Continental Surf Cup (CSC) victory over the Labor Day weekend at Lakeside Surf in Chelan, besting a three-time defending champion European Team.

Cash Hoover of O’ahu, Hawaii was victorious in the women’s final of the competition. Chelan surfer Reese Bordner finished 2nd.

Local surfers Maya Cowan of Chelan and Sierra White of Wenatchee surfed alongside their female teammates to help Team USA women.

Germany’s Lenny Weinhold proved to be the best surfer on the water and surfed his way to his fourth individual men’s title.

Local legend Cash Eygabroad of Chelan provided consistent high-level surfing for the U.S. Men.

Elijah Moody and Logan Watson, both of Chelan, and Austin Fernand of Boise, Idaho performed incredible runs throughout the event—earning valuable team points across multiple heats.
