Roads, trails, recreation sites are off limits in Okanogan-Wenatchee Forest

Emergency road, trail and recreation site closures are in place on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest to ensure safety from the Little Giant Fire, burning west of Entiat.
In the Wenatchee and Entiat Ranger districts nearly 100 roads, trailheads and recreation sites are off limits for the time being allowing firefighters on the Little Giant fire to do their job.

The fire, west of the Nineteenmile Campground and the Chiwawa River, is estimated at 24,360 acres as of Wednesday.
