A 50-year old Manson woman received minor injuries Monday afternoon when she suffered a medical emergency and lost control of her SUV while traveling eastbound on Highway 150, running over an embankment onto the shore of Lake Chelan.
“She started feeling dizzy and then went to pull over, and even according to witnesses, just continued right off the edge of the road,” Chelan County Sheriff’s Sgt. Rob Huddleston said. “(She) just missed the end of the guardrail west of Chelan Shores, went off the road, landed on a pile of rocks and spun the vehicle around.”
The SUV landed with both drivers' side wheels on the water line.
A tow truck pulled the car out of the water and the highway was reopened to two-way traffic at 4:30 p.m., Monday.
