Manson Schools name new Superintendent

Ian Crossland has been chosen to succeed Tabatha Mires as Manson School District Superintendent, effective July 1.

The school district shared that Crossland emerged from a highly competitive field of candidates, offering a combination of educational leadership experience, a commitment to student success, and roots in North Central Washington.

"Throughout his career, he has served students and families as a teacher, district administrator, Head of School, and educational leader both nationally and internationally," said Manson School Board chair Greg Neff. "His leadership has been grounded in high expectations, strong relationships, community partnership, and a belief that every student deserves opportunities to learn, lead, and thrive."

The school board expressed appreciation to staff, students, families, and community members who participated throughout the search process.

"The board is excited about the future of Manson School District and the opportunities ahead for our students," Neff added in a letter to district patrons. "The dedication of our staff, families, and community has created a strong foundation for continued growth and success. As we welcome Mr. Crossland to Manson, we look forward to building on the great work already underway and continuing our shared commitment to developing students who are prepared to learn, lead, and contribute to their communities and the world around them."

Mires will become an assisted superintendent for the North Central Washington Educational Service District.
