A multi-agency narcotics investigation led by the King County Sheriff’s detectives with assistance from Douglas County officers led to the seizure of an estimated $1.3 million dollars worth of narcotics.
“Operation Eastbound and Down” focused on a regional supplier of drugs based in Bridgeport who, along with an accomplice, was receiving more than 100 pounds of narcotics every few weeks. These substances were then distributed to local dealers across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.
Detectives executed search warrants at locations in Bridgeport, Lynnwood, and Kirkland. Four people were arrested along with the confiscation of more than 70 pounds of methamphetamine, 16 pounds of fentanyl powder, heroin and cocaine, plus a handgun and more than $83,000 in cash.
Detectives have not released the names of those arrested as the investigation continues.
Douglas County Undersheriff Tyler Caille thanked the King County Sheriff’s Office for its leadership and coordination, noting the extensive collaboration required among all participating agencies to bring the operation to a successful conclusion.
