A Chelan woman was killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle collision along highway 97A north of Entiat.

Troopers say both vehicles were traveling northbound when the vehicle Kasey Emery, 24, was riding in hit the rear of a car that had slowed to make a right turn.

Emery was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Trooper Jeremy Weber says the driver of the vehicle, Jaiden Buyas, 24, of Entiat, was arrested for vehicular homicide. He was injured in the crash and transported to Central Valley Hospital for treatment.
