Chelan Middle and High School music students completed an award winning year, earning Superior Plus awards from the North Central Washington Music Educators Association.

“It’s crazy to earn these in both middle school and high school this year,” said Steve Burdick, Chelan School District Instrumental Music Teacher.

The school district also applauded the high school concert band which performed a fast paced concert on the Hollywood Stage in California Adventure at Disneyland. Included in the visit was a recording session with a career Disney musician who has played French horn on just about every Disney movie for the past 30 years.  Chelan students recorded five mini-soundtracks from Disney movies.
