A man is accused of threatening a tenant with samurai swords Tuesday afternoon on his property in the 200 block of Mystic River Lane, off Navarre-Coulee Road.
Chelan County Sheriff's Chief Seth Buhler says 57-year old Juan Nunez reportedly became aggressive against a 66-year old man living in a trailer on Nunez’s property.
"
The property owner has had paranoid delusions, as of late, according to neighbors," Chief Buhler said. "He targeted his property renter and came after him. (He) had a couple of samurai swords with him, ended smashing out some windows to a vehicle that belonged to the victim and was threatening him with the swords."
When sheriff's deputies and SWAT officers arrived, Nunez barricaded himself inside his residence. Officers deployed a pepper ball device through a window which eventually prompted Nunez to come out and surrender. No one was injured.
