The Lake Chelan High School Lady Goats volleyball team made it a 'double sweep-peat' in the valley by winning the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association class 1A state volleyball championship on Saturday at the Yakima Sundome.

The Lady Goats join the Manson Lady Trojans who also swept their competitor last week to retain the state 2B volleyball trophy.

With their three match sweep victory, 27-25, 25-15, and 25-17, over Cascade Christian, Chelan captured their fifth straight volleyball championship.

Fans posted their congratulations on the KOZI Facebook page.

James Amsel writing, "Double repeat, Chelan Valley should be proud of the Goats and Trojans and hats off to the coaches who put in a tremendous effort and dedication, there must be something in the water at Lake Chelan that make these teams shine!!"
