A Bridgeport woman dies in yet another head-on crash on the 97. A one-ton pickup truck drifts over the center line and into the path of a northbound car just north of the Beebe Bridge.

Washington State Patrol Troopers report that 42-year old Macaria Ambriz-Espino died at the scene just north of the Beebe Bridge, when her car was hit by a pick-up truck driven by 52-year old Wayne Hensley of East Wenatchee. Troopers say that evidence at the scene shows that Hensley failed to maintain its southbound lane and the truck crossed the centerline and into the path of Ambriz-Espino’s car.

Hensley was transported to Lake Chelan Hospital for treatment of injuries.

It’s the third crash with a vehicle crossing into oncoming traffic to occurred on the highway in three days. In the previous two accidents over the weekend, 10 were injured.
