Gunfire reported outside of an East Woodin Ave. business late Friday night has led to the arrest of an 18-year old man.
As Chelan County Sheriff’s deputies first arrived just before midnight, they were told by witnesses to the shooting that several people ran from the scene.
A 22-year old was located on the sidewalk nearby that had been hit by a bullet. He was taken to Lake Chelan Hospital where on Saturday he was in stable condition.
A short time later, deputies identified a vehicle associated with the shooting near Riverwalk Park. A passenger ran away but was quickly located by deputies on Woodin Ave. He was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center for the alleged assault, unlawful possession of a gun and possession of drugs.
Sheriff’s Chief Ryan Moody says detectives are still investigating, and there is no reason to believe there are any ongoing threats to the public.
