Level One 'stay alert' wildfire advisory issued for area north of Leavenworth

A level one 'stay alert' advisory has been issued by Chelan County Emergency Management for residents along Merry Canyon Road and Second Creek Road from a wildfire burning north of Leavenworth, east of the Chumstick Highway off Forest Service Road 7801.

A Washington State Department of Natural Resources aerial surveillance on Tuesday estimated the fire’s footprint at 63 acres.

The National Weather Service forecasts dry, warming weather.
