ECOLOGY GRANT FUNDS MANSON FIRE STATION CLEANUP

Progress has slowed on the training center for Manson Fire Department's Wapato Lake road station 52, but that may not last much longer. Manson Fire Chief Arnold Baker says they're getting a big state grant to pay for the cleanup of hazardous soil at the site:



Still to be done at the site is the Colville Tribe's archaeological opportunity, Baker says consultants are getting that arranged; also, they need to get a surveyor onsite to get elevations before the soil gets moved around.
