Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison provides an update on the search for murder suspect Travis Decker on June 11.

The search for the man believed to have murdered his young daughters moves into its 11th day Thursday. Travis Decker is thought to be in the area of Blewett Pass and highway 97 with K9s tracking him to an area along Ingalls Creek.

"You will see a change in our tactics as we proceed forward; you will not see the amount of resources we've had out there, you'll be seeing a different element of our approach following leads," Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison said at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

U.S. Forest Service workers who know the area of investigation well, are working along side the FBI, U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Marshal’s Service in the ongoing aerial and ground search for the suspect.

"Every single day Travis is out there he' s gonna have to aim for perfection; he's not going to be able to make a mistake, because all we need is one mistake and one day to go in our favor and he's going to be in our custody," Morrison said. "We still have a ground team out there, we have dogs that are tracking, we're going through sightings, we're also doing tracking of what we have found in footprints. There is nowhere that he's going to go that we don't have units waiting for him."

"We're deploying our rapidly advancing manhunt program," said Eastern Washington U.S. Marshal’s Service Chief Jerome Brown. "That program brings more resources from all over, to include funding, to support your community, so we can navigate the terrain and locate and apprehend the fugitive. We will not stop, we will keep going, we will find him, he will be brought to justice so the community can heal."

The Sheriff asks citizens who live or hike in the Blewett Pass, Ingalls Creek area to remain vigilante.

"We appreciate the community coming along side of us," Morrison said. "We can not do it without the 80,000 plus citizens of Chelan County that have been a constant eye and vigilant force."
