Tapping into federal and state revenues for projects and programs in the city of Chelan was discussed by the city council Tuesday night.

A proposed agenda for the State Legislature to consider during the 2025 legislative session begins January 13. It's a scheduled 105-day session that concludes April 27.

"What are the projects ready to move forward in 2025-26 that we want to highlight to our legislators as top priorities for our community," said Chelan Mayor Erin McCardle. "Number one on both state and federal is going to be our East Chelan water reservoir project which already has $9 million in federal support. We're going out and hunting down the rest of that $7 million to finish out that project."

"That project will have tremendous benefits for so much of our community," the mayor added.

Financial support for affordable housing, infrastructure for potential future development and a regional transportation plan are also topics on the table.
