[7/12/16] WARNING: Up to 20 Minute Delays Between Entiat & Wenatchee
Washington State Department of Transportation is warning travelers to expect delays of up to 20 minutes with flaggers at multiple locations on Highway 97A between Entiat and Wenatchee this week.
Jeff Adamson is a spokesperson for Washington State Department of Transportation. He says they are still weeks away from the actual chip-seal portion of the $5.5 million project, but this week, crews will be preparing the roadway for that work..
In all, Adamson says, 43 miles of highway in Chelan and Douglas Counties will be resurfaced…
Adamson’s advice to you: plan ahead…
Again, starting today, expect up to 20 minute flagger controlled delays on Highway 97A between Entiat and Wenatchee for round the clock work on the roadway until Thursday.
Work will then continue 6AM – 6PM Monday through Thursday. That project is expected to be complete in September.
Also of note- this weekend, Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17 is the Chelan Man Triathlon, which will bring 2,000 bicyclists and marathoners to the area on Highway 97A and State Route 971 (also called South Lakeshore Rd). Travelers should expect intermittent closures in those areas.
