[4/20/19] Wapato Lake Fire

Manson residents around Wapato Lake were treated to a somewhat spectacular fire as bullrush and reeds lining the shore caught fire creating a challenge for Manson Fire Department. Chief Arnold Baker:

Just how many acres was the fire?

No structures were in danger, though some campers were threatened.

Chief Baker says the fire was out by 4 AM Saturday morning.
