[6/18/18] Wildfire Caution Ahead of Heat Wave
“Fire season is here” said Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz. Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is urging everyone to be cautious and vigilant when playing or working outdoors.
Those who ignite fireworks, exploding targets, or incendiary devices on BLM-managed lands can be fined up to $1,000, receive a prison term of up to one year, or both.
All outdoor debris pile burning throughout Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan Counties will be strictly prohibited beginning Friday.
