Much has been talked about what a Tax Increment Financing plan, or TIF, would do for Chelan. But what if the City Council decides against going forward with the plan next week? What if there is no TIF? Chelan Mayor Bob Goedde:
City Administrator Wade Farris says with no TIF, the city would be forced to construct the water system in a piecemeal approach, and that would eventually hit residents in the pocketbook:
The City Council will decide only on a Tax Increment Area at a special meeting next Wednesday May 24th.
