WALTER ON MANSON COUNCIL'S COMMENT DOWNGRADE

The Manson Community Council feels as if it, along with Malaga and Peshastin Community Councils, have been downgraded by Chelan County. They used to be listed in “Agency Comments” on staff reports, and now are listed as an addendum of the “Public Comments” section. That was brought up before Chelan County's Community Development Director Deanna Walter at last Tuesday's Manson Council meeting. Walter's response:





Walter said there are other avenues for citizens to comment on county matters:





The council is looking to have all Community Councils reinstated as elected representatives of the County Urban Growth Areas.
