VIEWS ON A CHANGING CITY COUNCIL AND CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT

As we've reported, two members of the Chelan City Council are running for mayor. And with only one candidate in the running in each of four city council seats, it's going to be a new city council next year.

What will that look like to the remaining city council members? We've heard from Tim Hollingsworth, now Shari Dietrich, who seems hopeful:





We always hear from city officials that it's important for citizens to get involved in city affairs, but not everyone wants to sit on the city council. Dietrich was asked what's the best way for people to get involved:





And there is voting: primary election day is a little more than a month away, on August 1st.
