Multiple felony charges have been made against a Tacoma couple for running a pair of message parlors in Wenatchee that allegedly offered illicit sexual services. Chelan County Prosecutors are looking to charge 60 year old Linhui Yan and his 43 year old wife Yan Yang with leading organized crime, money laundering and promoting prostitution.
According to authorities, the pair rented two Wenatchee locations as massage parlors on one North Chelan Ave with the other nearby on North Mission Street where they employed multiple women who offered sexual services at each location. An investigation was launched on the business by the Columbia River Drug Task Force last August after a complaint by a neighbor near one location.
In a sting operation task force with under cover officers who posed as clients, investigators say women working at the parlors made offers of sexual contact in exchange for money.
In court affidavits the investigation alleges Yan was tied to massage businesses operating as fronts for prostitution in Kennewick, Tacoma and Wenatchee. All of the locations were searched by task force investigators after filing a warrant on Wednesday.
Chelan County Sheriff's Office Chief Ryan Moody, commander of the Columbia River Drug Task Force says no arrests have been made and that Yan and his spouse have not been taken into custody. Linhui Yan is reported to have a previous record in Lake Charles, Louisiana from similar charges in 2019, although his case was a misdemeanor and dismissed after paying court costs.
