SWIM AREAS TO COOL OFF

With temperatures again in the triple digits today, you might be looking for places to cool off. Don Morse and Lakeside Parks are a couple of ideas, but there are a few swim areas you might not have thought of that the Chelan County PUD wants you to know about. PUD Spokesperson Rachel Hansen says one is a fairly short drive on Highway 97, Daroga State Park:



If you want something essentially in our back yard, there's Beebe Bridge Park:



Another option if you want to drive almost to Wenatchee is Lincoln Rock State Park, Hansen says that park has some amenities:



Other areas to consider are Orondo Park, Manson Bay Park, and Powerhouse Park. Hansen says the great thing about swim areas is that there are restrooms placed nearby, and parking is close by as well. Although Manson Bay Park has lifeguards, other swim areas do not, so you want to keep an eye on the kids in the water.
