STUDENTS AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS BY LAKE CHELAN FUND

Twenty-two Chelan and Manson students are receiving a total of 55-thousand dollars in scholarships from the Lake Chelan Valley Scholarship Fund. And there will be an awards ceremony to honor them tomorrow (Sat) morning. Barry Wise with the fund says they received 48 applications this year, and made the selections from those. Recipients include not only high school graduates, but those already in college who are receiving renewals of their scholarships.

The Fund has been in operation for 35 years, he says he's hoping residents would consider contributing to the fund through their estates; they don't have a website up yet, but we'll put contact information on kozi-dot-com so you can get in touch with them.
