STILL MORE FROM ROGER BROOKS

Roger Brooks had so much to say in the two hours he spoke at Campbell's last Wednesday, I had to share more of it with you. Brooks is the CEO of the Destination Development Association, a group that works with chambers of commerce, economic development practitioners, destination marketing organizations, downtown associations, and local governments using a common set of resources to get everyone on the same page. They've worked with hundreds of cities in North America and around the world. Brooks spoke to a mostly empty room at Campbell's on Wednesday, speaking of statistics and ideas that have worked elsewhere. One of the topics he touched on was how tourists spend their time:
