There are a lot of changes coming to the Manson Fire Station on Wapato Lake Road. Manson Fire Chief Arnold Baker says they've got 200-thousand dollars in state money for design work on resident quarters and a training center. Baker says it's going to change the functionality of the station:
Baker says this is a project that has been ten years in the making, and he says it's happening because of 12th District State Representative Mike Steele:
On another money note, Baker says the Manson Fire Commission is looking at putting together a levy request for next year, that it will probably be a shorter levy duration than the current ten-year levy that ends next year.
