The Washington Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) offers expert advisory services to unlock small business owners' full potential. With offices across Washington, including Eastern and Western regions, the WSBDC has become a trusted resource.
Kirk Duncan, a seasoned business consultant, is among the Certified Business Advisors working from the Wenatchee regional office. Duncan provides confidential one-on-one advising at all stages of business development. SBDC advisors achieved remarkable results in 2021, contributing to over 2,800 jobs, launching 161 businesses, and generating $107 million in capital. The WSBDC provides more than financial guidance, assisting with financing arrangements, business plans, and trend analysis. While they don't offer direct loans, they connect owners to micro-lenders providing funding up to $50,000.
Thanks to funding from the Small Business Administration and a partnership with the Chelan-Douglas Regional Port Authority, WSBDC services are free. To expand their impact, the WSBDC's Wenatchee office aims to engage more local businesses. The port established a Trades District near East Wenatchee's Pangborn Memorial Airport, offering discounted rent for five years. Entrepreneurs interested in the trades district or seeking business advice can visit wsbdc.org for the advisor directory and contact information.
