QUINCY MAN ARRESTED FOR FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT

Quincy man, Brian Reyes Beltran, was arrested and is now in jail after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into another car, injuring a man.

The incident happened at around 2 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office. The deputies were called to a dirt road near Road 9 Northwest and Road R Northwest after the victim's wife reported that her husband was intentionally struck by her boyfriend's car.

Sheriff's Office spokesperson, Kyle Foreman, said that there were conflicting stories from both parties, but evidence indicated that Beltran had intentionally rammed the victim's car at least six or seven times, injuring the woman's husband. In the process, the husband's leg got pinched between the door and the rocker panel of his vehicle, resulting in a broken leg.

Beltran had fled the scene but later turned himself in to the Quincy Police Department. He was arrested for investigation of first-degree assault and is currently being held in the Grant County Jail.
