QUIET LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Looking back over the Labor Day weekend, it was a fairly quiet one from a law enforcement perspective, that according to Chelan County Sheriff's Sergeant Rob Huddleston:

That's not to say that nothing happened; Huddleston says Marine Patrol came upon a situation Sunday in Manson that was initially reported to be a drowning, but had a happy ending:

One issue that has continued through the summer, and has been a perennial issue, is the coning off of the shoulders of the highway near Lakeside Park, that puts those cars on the side streets and causes issues for residents. Huddleston says there needs to be a solution, although don't ask him what it is:

Meaning a lot safer with the cones in place, so cars don't park there and people don't venture out into the highway.
