PUD CONTINUES WORK ON NORTH SHORE SUBSTATION

The Chelan County PUD is getting closer to the finish line on construction of its north shore substation. Project Manager Gary Rice says work on the project is progressing:





Rice says more work is slated for this summer and fall:





PUD Customer Outreach Specialist Teka Sellers says all the growth in the area is taxing the Union Valley and Wapato substations, and the new north shore substation is designed to relieve the pressure on the other two:





Sellers says the plan is to begin connecting customers to the new substation next spring, customers will be notified and shouldn't experience any interruption in service.
