OKANOGAN COUNTY WILDFIRE MEETINGS SET FOR SATURDAY

What does Okanogan County need and want to prepare and live safely with wildfire for the long-term? The State Department of Natural Resources and the Okanogan Conservation District hopes to get answers to that question at two meetings set for Saturday. Loftis says discussions about wildfire usually happen during a crisis situation; these meetings are a way to work towards fire resiliency without having to be under the gun of fire. Will Knowlton:





The first meeting is set for Saturday morning from 9 am to noon at the Methow Valley Community Center; the afternoon meeting will be at the Pateros Brewster Community Resource Center from 2 to 5 pm.
