NEW SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER

There's a new school resource officer for the Lake Chelan and Manson School Districts; he's Chelan County Sheriff's Deputy Alex Bushy, who says his main challenge is often going back and forth between the two districts:



As for the challenges he comes across at the schools, Deputy Bushy says there aren't many major problems:



Bushy says his main goal is to have the students see him as a friend:



This is not Bushy's first go-round as a school resource officer; he spent about three years as an officer for the Quincy School District. Bushy is a full-time school resource officer for the Lake Chelan and Manson districts; in the summer, he'll be working mostly on the marine patrol.
