There's a new leader at the Seven Acres Foundation, the organization behind the Lake Chelan Community Center. He's Dr. Ty Witt, who the Seven Acres board has elected as its new president. Witt takes the place of Ben Williams, who resigned, he says due to his professional demands. Williams, who has been president since it's inception, will stay on the Seven Acres board to maintain the same level of institutional knowledge. Williams' term was set to expire next year; in a news release, he called the change in leadership good news.
Witt has been a longtime member of the Seven Acres board . . .
Witt said he plans to represent the Community Center's next phases of completion, occupancy, second and third-phase funding, grand opening, and operations.
Witt's election as Seven Acres President is the second announcement by the foundation in about ten days; earlier, they announced the appointment of Maribel Cruz as the Community Center's Executive Director.
