As we reported yesterday, law enforcement officials are saying that scams are increasing in the valley, and it's not just the telephone scams we're all familiar with. Computer scams are on the rise as well, according to Chelan County Sheriff's Detective Cyrus Bowthorpe:



Bowthorpe has been investigating scams and says he's surprised how successful the scammers can be:



Once the scam has happened, it's almost impossible to hit the rewind button and do things differenly. But what should you do if you've been scammed, or think you have been? Bowthorpe says don't be silent:



Bowthorpe has put together a presentation with tips on how to avoid being scammed, and it's not just for seniors, it's for everyone. It will be at the Manson Library, Thursday November 16th at 5 pm.
