MISCOMMUNICATION NIXES CITY BUYING BOYD ROAD PROPERTY

A lack of communications may be the best way to describe the reason the City of Chelan is missing out on a chance to use a piece of county property for affordable housing. At Tuesday's City Council Workshop, Mayor Bob Goedde explained that the city was exploring purchasing a property on Boyd Road.





Goedde says that condition was never explained until the bitter end. Goedde says he and City Administrator Wade Ferris told that to County Commissioner Tiffany Gering, who wrote a letter to Goedde that he read to the council:





But the matter is not necessarily closed; Councilmember Mark Ericks asked Mayor Goedde a question:





But Goedde and Ferris says they'll try to talk to the Commissioners and see if they'll change their mind.
