Good news for people who travel McNeil Canyon – the project to realign that road has now been fully funded. That's the word from Douglas County Commissioner Marc Straub:
Straub says that project was listed as a priority in the county's six-year transportation plan. He says it will be some time before they start turning shovels on it, though:
On another Douglas County transportation note, there will be a public hearing Tuesday on an intersection in the East Wenatchee area, where Grant Road intersects with North Lyle Avenue, and whether to add that as a priority to the county's six-year transportation plan. Straub says there's a lot of growth going on in that area, and they're hoping to hear from people on whether adding it to the plan is a good idea or not. That hearing is set for 9 am Tuesday at the County Courthouse in Waterville.
