Manson fire Chief Arnold Baker says the department is looking forward to getting work started on the fire training center to be constructed at the Wapato Lake Road fire station. There are five containers on the property which will be used to construct the center; Chief Baker says the actual work should get underway sometime next month:
Baker is hoping the center can be up and running by later this year.
