MANSON FIRE LEVY PLANNED

Chelan County Fire District 5, also known as the Manson Fire Department, is making plans for a levy next year. And one of the goals for that levy is bringing in new equipment. The department is in need of a new fire truck. Manson Fire Chief Arnold Baker:

Baker says that rating agency will survey Manson Fire in 2027. The department received a 50-thousand dollar grant from the State Department of Natural Resources. The board approved to buy a truck chassis for almost 120-thousand dollars, so the district's commitment is 70-thousand. In other business, as for as the remodeling of the downtown fire station, Baker says they're just waiting for the windows for the old truck bay, and things will start wrapping up.
