MANSON COUNCIL NEEDS NEW MEMBERS

The Manson Community Council is hoping to have elections for two positions next month. But for that to happen, they need candidates to apply. Council Chairwoman Kari Sorenson says they're looking for Manson residents to show some interest:

Applications are available at Blueberry Hills in Manson; any voting resident living in the 98831 ZIP Code is elegible to apply. If enough people apply for the positions, an election will be held on Tuesday December 12th from noon to 7 at the Manson Parks building on Pedoi Street.

Sorenson, who returned to the council last month after resigning following a contentious meeting in August, says the council is a well-kept secret:

In our defense, we do report on the actions of the council here on KOZI News. But the council is the voice of the Manson community to the county, Sorenson says that after the fiery August meeting, the county is now sending paperwork to the council regarding development applications and the like, something the council was demanding.
