A 20-year-old man accused of raping a child and breaking into her home has been taken into custody and is currently being held at Chelan County jail. The Wenatchee Police Department received a tip on Saturday night about Eli Volcy's whereabouts, and officers immediately located him outside of a residence on Dakota Street, where he was apprehended without incident.
According to court documents, the mother of a 15-year-old girl became aware of mutual interactions between her daughter and Volcy. The mother instructed Volcy not to come back, but he allegedly broke into the home while she was away. Volcy is charged with third-degree rape of a child and burglary.
His bail is set at $50,000, and he is currently being held in custody. The case remains under investigation, and anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Wenatchee Police Department.
