LINK TRANSIT'S JUNE RIDERSHIP

Link Transit officials are besides themselves with joy over the June ridership numbers, which show substantial increases almost across the board. Link's Communications Manager Erik West breaks it down:

Link's average weekday boardings number just more than 3200, several hundred more than last year. These numbers aren't direct comparisons, for Link made substantial route changes last July. But the 21 Route between Wenatchee and Manson is essentially the same as last June, although West says the ridership numbers are much higher:

Elsewhere, Link is more drivers, with about ten new drivers in training now, and interviews starting next week for as many as 25 more drivers, although West says the new class will increase Link's driver pool only slightly.
