LINK TRANSIT'S JANUARY RIDERSHIP TOPS PRE-PANDEMIC LEVELS

Link Transit experienced a significant boost in ridership last month. Link's Communications Manager Erik West has the numbers:

Not only that, but the January numbers are also higher than the pre-COVID numbers of January 2019, when ridership hit 78,300. West says comparing this January's numbers to last January's is difficult, because routes and schedules changed during the summer. But he said the Route 22 between Wenatchee and Leavenworth is going, in his words, “gangbusters,” carrying about 16-thousand people. And he says the Route 21 that serves Chelan and Manson is doing well, too:

West says there's no change on the driver situation, that there are several people taking training classes right now, but Link has lost a couple of drivers, so there'll be no real net change. They're still looking for drivers, so if you're interested, go to www.linktransit.com.
