If you're thinking about applying for the opening on the Lake Chelan Health Board of Directors but haven't sent your letter in, better get moving, because today's (Fri) the deadline.
The opening is for the seat currently held by Jeremy Jaech, who announced his resignation late last month, effective April first. Lake Chelan Health spokesman Augustin Benegas said that as of yesterday (Thu), they had received only three letters of interest.
The position calls for attending one meeting per month, with special meetings occasionally called, as well as keeping abreast of news in the health care industry; all totaled, about six hours per month. Withrow encourages those in the younger generation to consider it, calling it a great opportunity to learn governance and leadership. The position does offer medical, dental and vision insurance, and compensation as well.
Letters of interest should include credentials and experience, as well as why they'd want to serve as a Lake Chelan Health Board member. More information is available at lakechelanhealth-dot-org; again, today is the deadline to get those letters in.
