Things are moving at Lake Chelan Health, not only from a facilities standpoint, but from a financial standpoint as well. The hospital's facilities master plan is coming along, with the hospital board meeting with the architechts that will be working on the EMS building and specialty clinic; they are Forte Architechts out of Wenatchee, a female-owned group with good connections in Chelan. Hospital CEO Aaron Edward says things are moving faster than what might have been expected:
Edwards says the hospital is planning to move offices into the now-vacant part of the walk-in clinic building on Johnson Street, that's where North Cascades Bank was temporarily located. He says he hopes to know in about a month whether that plan will work or not.
From a financial standpoint, Hospital Board Chair Jordana LaPorte says August was a good month:
As for the sale of the old hospital, Edwards had nothing to reveal, he says the sale probably won't close until the end of the year.
