LAKE CHELAN HEALTH JOINS RURAL COOPERATIVE

Lake Chelan Health has joined what is being called a rural cooperative. Perhaps the best way to describe it is a support group for rural hospitals. LCH Board Chair Jordana Laporte explains:

Laporte says it was Lake Chelan health CEO Aaron Edwards who proposed joining the cooperative; he says everyone needs a sounding board at times, and so does the hospital:

This past weekend, the Washington State Hospital Association held its annual conference at Campbell's here in Chelan, and Edwards hosted some of the executives for a get-together at his house.

Also, a new orthopedic surgeon is coming aboard in August, relocating from Cleveland, and a new provider is coming to Express Care downtown from Florida.
